PROFESSIONAL ACTORS TRAINING SERIES

Instructors Darla Briganti & Ann Marie Crouch

SESSION 1:

Designed to introduce and reinforce foundations of acting techniques for new and returning students ages 8 through adult.  Participants may choose to attend each session as a “stand-alone” class or use them as stepping stones towards our On-Going “Professional Actor’s Training” group.   NOTE: Session 1 & 2 = Training Pre-requisites for AMC Talent Events

Through the Camera’s Eyes: This on-camera commercial intensive focuses on allowing yourself to be in the moment and let your creativity flow. Two of the mistakes actors make are self-editing and not committing to the moment. We will deal with that in this class. We will also show the actor’s relationship with the camera.                                                                                                                                         

FUN-dations of Improv: Improv, short for improvisation, is a performance form that does not use a script. Players create spontaneous scenes in which they must listen to and respect each other in order for the scene to be successful.  A great way to foster collaboration, confidence, and creativity.

SESSION 2:

Auditioning Techniques: When a client looks at a tape of 100 people, their first job is to eliminate 80-90% of them. Find out how to deal with any situation that may come up and give a memorable audition. It is the little details that make the difference of you getting the callback or not. Find out the tricks and watch your confidence, auditions and bookings increase!!

Acting FUNdamentals: Talent will build upon Foundations of Improv from Session One by exploring the connection between scripted and non-scripted material including dialogues and monologues. Script & Character Analysis, Internal Techniques: Sensory and Emotion Recall, External Techniques: Motivated Physicality Choices, The Actor as the Story Teller: Action, Literal Meaning, Subtext.

·         $15.00 STUDIO REGISTRATION FEE applied each mini-mester (four month period)

·         PRIVATE LESSONS with Darla or Ann Marie.  $50.00 per hour $35.00 per hour for Current PAT Talent.
